Today we talk about the hard business of social relationships in the era of new media. If we look at the History, the human being
has always tried to socialize in order to impoove its status, business, quality life. This process has always been the key-growth for many aspects of human’s life, even emotional. This will probably be a line in the history. A scenario of 20 years ago reminds me how was social life before the internet boom. Meeting someone in a coffee store or in famous bars was the certain way to find commonly backgrounded people and all of us know that we had very few options.
The medias have always been reserved for the few of us. Interaction was limited to a certain geographical area if compared to nowadays but the quality was totally different. If you turn your head to the present with a glance to the future we see a very different scenario. The boom of informations caused by freedom in communications have radically changed the life style. It’s easy to have a website, post some video, a social community and even to search for the specific backgrounded people. The problems nowadays are yet enough. Most of all, we’re probably just a digital content on a website, our virtual friends are too far to be phisically present. The quality of relations has changed and someone start to feel loliness. Well, it’s not easy to reach a high social status on the internet and most of all, to translate that social status in the real world. The net can be very warm if you find your way but it requires high quality of contents, hard work, patience and a good dose of luck. Managing with evolving technologies is also a hard stuff because it requires to stay updated 24 / 7 and to manage an always growing amount of data. It can be easier for showbusiness and video related for the nature of content & the human tendency to relax on the net.
